Planning a Gallery Wall
Gallery walls are a fun way to display numerous signs, picture frames, wreaths, etc. It’s super fun and almost like a mini game of Tetris! So you definitely want to take a bit of time to plan your wall before you just start hammering and hanging.
Tips for Creating a Gallery Wall
- Decide the layout you want to use. I did a quick search on Pinterest to find some different ideas for gallery layouts. Try not to get overwhelmed! You probably have an idea of how you want it to look already so don’t let a Google search change your mind.
- Decide on one large piece to be the focal point and then build out from there. I suggest laying all your items out on the floor to get an idea of how you want to place everything and what it will look like.
- Make sure you have a level so you have assistance knowing that you’re hanging things straight. Feel free to use hammer and nails to hang your signs and frames. Personally, I am a fan of the Command strips. Maybe I have a fear of commitment and nailing holes in the wall seems so final. You can easily remove those strips without any damage to your walls. Easy peasy!
